Mackenzie Branch 414
60 Legion Crt, Woodbridge, Ontario L4L-2B4
Mackenzie Branch 414 of the Royal Canadian Legion has served the Woodbridge and Vaughan community for over five decades. Named in honour of the Mackenzie family — a Woodbridge family with a distinguished tradition of military service — the branch stands as a living tribute to all those who served Canada in uniform.
We are a non-profit, volunteer-run organization committed to supporting veterans, serving military members, and their families. Beyond veteran advocacy, Branch 414 plays an active role in the broader community through charitable programs, fundraising, and civic remembrance events.
Our branch is affiliated with the Ontario Provincial Command and Dominion Command of the Royal Canadian Legion, Canada's largest veterans' organization with over 250,000 members across the country.
Mackenzie Branch 414 received its official charter from Dominion Command, founded by a small group of Korean War and WWII veterans living in the growing Woodbridge community.
The branch moved into its permanent home at 60 Legion Court, a purpose-built facility constructed with contributions from branch members and the local community.
A branch cenotaph was dedicated at the branch grounds, providing a permanent place of remembrance for Woodbridge veterans.
A major renovation made the facility fully wheelchair accessible, ensuring all veterans and members could participate fully in branch life.
Branch 414 received the Ontario Trillium Foundation Community Service Award for its outstanding contribution to Vaughan-area veterans and families.
The branch celebrated its 50th anniversary with a gala dinner attended by over 200 members, veterans, and community leaders. A commemorative plaque was unveiled at the branch entrance.
Branch 414 remains active with over 300 members, ongoing community programs, and a strong commitment to remembrance and veteran advocacy.
Advocating for veterans' rights, benefits, and well-being at every level of government and community.
Honouring the sacrifice of all who served through ceremonies, education, and the Poppy Campaign.
Building a stronger Woodbridge through charity, volunteerism, and civic engagement year-round.
Providing a welcoming place where veterans, members, and their families can connect and belong.
